For maximum power transfer to the load , the load resistance must be equal to the Thevenin resistance of the network looking from the load terminals.To find , we turn off the independent 50 V source (short circuit) and apply a test voltage at the load terminals to find the test current .Based on the circuit diagram, the network consists of two parallel branches connected to the source:
1.Branch 1: A resistor in series with a resistor. The voltage across the resistor is .
