The beam is subjected to a 3 kN3\text{ kN} concentrated vertically downward force at 1 m1\text{ m} from PP, as shown in the figure. The beam is resting on vertical linear springs at the ends PP and QQ. For the spring at the end PP, the spring constant KP=100 kN/mK_P = 100\text{ kN/m}.
A horizontal rigid beam PQ of length 3m with a 3kN downward force applied at 1m from P. The beam is supported by two vertical springs at its ends P and Q with spring constants Kp and Kq respectively.
