Question
In a DRAM,
Correct answer
(B) information is stored in a capacitor
Solution
DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit. Because capacitors leak charge, the information eventually fades unless the capacitor charge is refreshed periodically. This is why it is called 'dynamic' memory, as opposed to SRAM (Static RAM) which uses latches and does not require refreshing.
